Grounded Wellness started as a dream I had since the first day of massage school. It's a place for everyone to come and feel better physically and mentally. In 2016 I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. To say the least I was at the worst point in my life. While I was sick and doctors were trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I went for massage's and a lot of them. It was the only thing that would make me feel better physically for a short period of time. After surgery during my healing process I had a spiritual awakening and decided to heal my body naturally all though doctors suggested otherwise. I decided to try Reiki and found my mental clarity and energy was returning and I was starting to feel really good again. I decided to cut out all stresses and make changes in many areas of my life. My career at the time was a big stress factor. I was a dental assistant for 16 years and one day I woke up and said I'm done and haven't looked back. I then began my journey to become a Reiki Master, on that journey I wanted to learn more about the human body and why it functions and works the way it does. I then found myself in massage school 5 months after surgery and on my way to a new career. Fast forward 4 years and I can say I'm cancer free. I became a Registered Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Aromatherapist and even got married. My biggest dream since the first day of massage school is now being realized, a business owner of a wellness center. My goal is to make people feel the best they possibly can through Massage and energy healing. I have met many wonderful people in the last few years and have enjoyed getting to know all of my clients. My goal is to grow Grounded Wellness and offer many different services in the future for mind, body and spirit. I hope to see you on my table and hear your story. Wishing you peace and light.
My name is Lindsay and I recently completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I have a background in dance and fitness and when I started yoga, I thought it would be a nice easy stretch for my body as dance and strength classes were really starting to hurt my back. After my first class I found it was NOT as easy as I thought it would be, it involved so many more aspects then I thought. It became apparent quite quickly that yoga is the body, the mind and the breath working in unison with each other. I found that after classes I had a sense of peace and joy and eventually this started to integrate into my everyday life on and off the mat. Yoga has inspired me to live each moment more mindfully and fully. In my classes, I pride myself on non-judgmental teaching and encourage growth of the physical and spiritual self. I seek to help others thrive by creating a space free from obstacles, by nurturing the body, the mind and the soul. My hope is that you step off your mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
My name is Christine and I am currently in my final year of Massage Therapy. My journey towards massage came after a spiritual awakening in 2013. This initiated a total life change that included a career change. I completed my Doula training in 2004 and then went on to being an Ordained Minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry in 2014. I enjoy simplicity and serenity in my life. I travel any chance I can. My spiritual journey has taken me to some really interesting places. Massage has so many benefits and I would like to offer them to you. Thank you for helping me make my career change a success.

I went to my first yoga class in 2013, and immediately yoga became a huge part of my life. After 6 years of practicing and studying yoga, I knew it was time to deepen my practice even further and obtain my 200-hour yoga teaching certification. I believe yoga is a lifelong journey and continue to learn as a student and a teacher to live mindfully on and off the mat. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness, and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others find the love I get from nurturing the body, mind, and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, and balanced. I hope to see you in my class soon!
" My relationship with yoga started at the age of 16 with what I now realize was a deal with my sister in an effort to keep me out of trouble.
Having struggled with my mental health at a young age, yoga offered me a break through moment and ultimately allowed me the realization that I am the creator of my own reality.
I am first and foremost and will always be a student of yoga. Always learning and transitioning into new versions of myself. I am so keen to share what I have learned so far and to cultivate a space of self-love and acceptance for my students.
In my classes you can expect to be encouraged to not take yoga so seriously. To play, explore, laugh. To make noise and take up space.
I encourage you to show up as your authentic self, unapologetically.
